UNSC

Introducing our second committee, is the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).


As one of the six principal organs of the United Nations, the UNSC is tasked with ensuring international peace and security.


During KONMUN'24, discussions within the UNSC will focus on the causes and impacts of colonization in West Africa, administrative policies during colonization, key factors contributing to the Niger uprising (a current issue), and the actions taken by ECOWAS countries regarding these matters.


Additionally, delegates will delve into the cultural assimilation resulting from colonialism and the consolidation of political authority.
